Lava Planet
- Create a new square image around 500×500 px
- Make sure you set your foreground color to black and background color to white
- Filter > Render > Clouds
- Filter > Render > Difference Clouds
- Repeat the last step 3 more times
- Image > Adjustments > Levels: bring the white level down
- Select the elliptical marquee
- Hold down Alt + Shift and click from the middle dragging your mouse in a diagonal to select a circle
- Select > Inverse
- Hit Delete
- Select > Inverse
- Filter > Distort > Spherize: 100%
- Filter > Distort > Spherize: 50%
- Filter > Sharpen > Unsharp Mask: Amount 500, Radius 3.1, Threshold 14
- Image > Adjustments > Color Balance: Play with the colors until you find a balance you like
- Filter > Sharpen > Unsharp Mask: Amount 200-300, Radius 2.9, Threshold 16
- Deselect the planet by hitting CTRL + D
- Create a new layer under the planet and fill the background with black
- Select the layer with the planet
- Filter > Artistic > Plastic Wrap: Highlight Strength 10, Detail 8, Smoothness 8
- Go to Blending Options check Outer Glow and pick an orange glow, you may have to play with the settings to get your desired look
